Описывается период ранней истории шотландской колонизации Северной Америки -история создания шотландской колонии Новый Гэллоуэй в 1622 - 1625 гг. Анализируется трактат Р. Г. Лохинвара как исторический источник по шотландской колонизации Нового Света и ранней истории Канады.
