«Риторика апостольства» в посланиях Григория I Великого патриархам Александрии и Антиохии

Аннотация


Работа посвящена рассмотрению того, как в посланиях папы Григория I Великого патриархам Евлогию Александрийскому и Анастасию Антиохийскому представлена «риторика апостольства», т. е. ряд высказываний о близости трех кафедр – римской, александрийской и антиохийской – к апостолу Петру и между собой. Прослеживается хронологическое развитие риторики апостольства в зависимости от хода спора вокруг титула «вселенский» константинопольских патриархов: указанные высказывания появляются вместе с началом активной фазы спора в 595 г., нарастают после неприятия папской позиции со стороны императора и восточных патриархов и в основном прекращаются после получения некоторого рода согласия от Евлогия Александрийского. Показано, что высказывания о «едином в трех местах апостольском престоле», который составляют три названные кафедры, являются скорее риторической метафорой, а не богословской теорией, как это утверждали некоторые исследователи XX – начала XXI в. Доказательством этого служат неоднократные противоречия в петринологических высказываниях папы Григория, а также то, что в письмах любым другим адресатам под «апостольским престолом» подразумевается единственно Рим. Делается вывод о том, что причинами этой ситуативности в риторике были стремление папы Григория поднять авторитет римского престола и противостояние усиливающемуся межцерковному влиянию Константинопольского патриархата.
