Шотландские просветители: круг идей

Аннотация


Рассматриваются специфические черты и особенности шотландского Просвещения в общеевропейском контексте интеллектуальной мысли восемнадцатого века; на примере шотландских просветителей показано возникновение «публичной сферы»: расцвет добровольных обществ, клубов и напряженных дискуссий по основным проблемам современности; дана характеристика вклада шотландских просветителей в развитие моральной философии, политэкономии и исторических исследований.
