Западные и восточные тенденции в Византии в ранний период (борьба и взаимодействие)

Aleksandra Alekseevna Chekalova

Аннотация

Struggle of Western and Eastern trends was historical destiny of Byzantium since its very beginning. The culmination of that struggle was the reign of Justinian. The reign of this emperor was a revival of the old glory of the Roman Empire. But the Latin for its deep essence of Jet in early culture has had a huge impact on the West, not the East. Foreign policy plans of Justinian not invoked vital interests of Byzantium, which was in the East. The difference between East and West was so great that the very idea of restoration of the Roman Empire was an anachronism. Negative aspiration of Justinian to the West led to the gradual decline of the Empire and transforming it into the Greek State with the name of the Roman Empire only as a tribute to the historical tradition. Never knew Byzantium such a splendor and power, as it was peculiar in an earlier era. This affected the course of the further historical development of the medieval world.
