Формирование новой системы титулатуры в Византии второй половины VII – первой половины VIII в.

Аннотация

The article is devoted to the problem of creation of the new court titles system in Byzantium. The author arrived at a conclusion that the considerable part of titles which existed in the middle Byzantine time was established in the middle of 7th – the middle of 8th centuries. The sigillographical data demonstrates the origin the titles (kandidatos, strator, spatharios, spatharokandidatos, protospatharios) from the nomenclature of the imperial guard leaders (scholae palatinae).
