Византийские поливные сосуды XIV в. с монограммами из раскопок Херсона и крепости Чембало

Аннотация


Статья посвящена византийским сосудам с монограммами из раскопок Херсона и крепости Чембало, их интерпретации и значению в жизни греческого населения Юго-Западного Крыма. В результате археологических исследований нам известно на сегодняшний день 15 сосудов византийского производства, содержащих монограммы имен святых («Георгий», «Михаил», «Продром»), родового имени «Палеолог», а также буквенные обозначения «А» («Святыня») и «К». Сосуды использовались для освященной воды, некоторые из них, вероятно, предназначались для мира. Сосуды поступали в Херсон и Чембало, возможно, в качестве подарков или евлогий из Константинополя (?), что являлось частью идеологической пропаганды. Сравнительные археометрические исследования трех образцов из крепости Чембало, проведенные в лаборатории Лионского университета, показали, что один сосуд имеет сходство с продукцией, происходившей из открытой в районе Стамбула мастерской по производству поливной посуды XIV в., два других образца относятся к группам, отличающимся от изделий указанной мастерской, но близким по технологическим параметрам. Датировка сосудов укладывается в пределы 1320–1350-х гг. для Херсона и второй половины XIV – начала XV в. для Чембало.
